Protocol®Supply Entry™ adds controlled access, cycle verification and remote visibility to your downtime and disinfection room.
Interlocked door controls help ensure supplies complete your required process before they enter the barn. Authorized user access, digital cycle records and remote room status make the process easier to manage, verify and plan around. Replace manual records, clipboards and guesswork with a more reliable way to manage supply decontamination.

A Better Way to Manage Downtime & Disinfection
Even a well-established downtime and disinfection protocol can leave room for human error. Manual switches, paper logs and staff handoffs create room for missed steps, interrupted cycles and uncertainty about when supplies are ready to enter the barn. Protocol® Supply Entry ties door access directly to room status. Interlocked doors, authorized access and digital records help enforce the process, reduce manual checks and give teams confidence it is being followed as intended.
Compliance is enforced, not assumed.
How Protocol® Supply Entry Works
Protocol® Supply Entry is installed on both the exterior and interior doors of an existing downtime and disinfection room, decontamination room, fumigation room or supply entry room.
The two access points work together. When the room is ready to receive supplies, authorized users can access it from outside the barn. While the downtime and disinfection process is underway, doors are locked. Once completed, supplies can be accessed from inside the barn.
Users can be authenticated through facial recognition or by access code. Supply Entry supports the process established by your operation, including time, temperature and, where configured, connected fumigation equipment.
Farm Health Guardian’s multi-stage cycle provides clear visibility into what is happening with the room beyond a simple clean-or-dirty status. Current room status and expected completion time can be viewed remotely through the Farm
Health Guardian desktop portal and on the Protocol Supply Entry devices. If the cycle is interrupted by an opened door or system failure, Supply Entry resets so the required downtime and disinfection are completed before inside access is permitted.
Protocol Supply Entry is the only controlled access solution built specifically for livestock downtime and disinfection rooms.
Interlock exterior and interior doors so access changes with the status of the room.
Supply Entry controls both sides of the room as one system. When the room is dirty, inside access is restricted. During a cycle, the doors remain locked. After successful completion, supplies can be accessed from inside while outside access remains restricted.
This helps protect the separation between the outside environment and the barn and reduces the risk of a door being opened at the wrong point in the process.
Authorized User Access
Limit operation of the room to approved users with facial recognition or access code.
Access permissions help ensure only staff who are authorized to use the room can load supplies, start the cycle or access supplies from inside once requirements have been met.
Cycle Verification
Verify configured time, temperature and, where connected, fumigation requirements.
Supply Entry is configured to your specific downtime and disinfection protocol. Depending on the operation, that may include a defined downtime period, temperature threshold, connected fumigation device activity, or a combination.
If a cycle is interrupted, the system resets so the required conditions must be completed before inside access is available.
Remote Room Visibility
See room status and expected cycle completion remotely.
Authorized users can view the status of the room through the Farm Health Guardian desktop portal.
Multi-stage visibility shows more than a simple clean-or-dirty status, helping teams understand where the room is in the process and when supplies are expected to be ready.
Room status is also displayed on Protocol® Supply Entry controlled access devices that are installed next to the exterior and interior doors.
Digital Disinfection Records
Maintain historical records of downtime and disinfection activity.
Digital records give health, biosecurity and operations teams a history of room activity that can support protocol compliance reviews, audits, third-party certification processes, training and disease investigations.
Know Before You Send the Team
Maintenance, operations and logistics teams often need to know whether tools, parts and supplies will be available before work can begin.
When room status is managed on a clipboard or communicated informally, staff can arrive at a site only to find the items they need are outside, unavailable or midway through the disinfection process.
Protocol® Supply Entry lets teams check room status and expected completion remotely before travelling. That helps coordinate deliveries and maintenance work, reduce unnecessary trips and make better use of staff time.
Know if supplies will be ready before you send contractors
A downtime and disinfection room is a controlled space used to isolate supplies before they enter a livestock facility. Depending on the operation, supplies may be held for a defined period, exposed to required temperatures, fumigated, or managed through a combination of these steps before they are accessed from inside the barn.
These rooms may also be called decontamination rooms, fumigation rooms downtime and drying room or supply entry rooms.
Protocol® Supply Entry is a controlled access system for livestock downtime and disinfection rooms. It connects door access with the status of the room, provides remote and on-site cycle status, verifies configured cycle requirements, and maintains digital records of downtime and disinfection activity.
Yes. Supply Entry is designed to add controlled access and digital cycle management to existing downtime and disinfection rooms. Installation requirements vary by site, door configuration and existing equipment, so Farm Health Guardian assesses each location before installation.
No. Protocol® Supply Entry can operate independently and does not require Protocol® SAFE. It can also be used as part of a broader Farm Health Guardian biosecurity system.
Supply Entry uses controlled access devices on the exterior and interior doors of the room. The doors are interlocked so access changes based on the status of the room, and users can be authenticated through facial recognition or an access code.
Supply Entry can be configured to monitor the requirements established for the operation, including time and temperature. Where configured, it can also verify activity from a connected fumigation device.
If a door is opened during an active cycle, Supply Entry resets the cycle so the required process must be completed again before supplies can be accessed from inside the barn.
Yes. Historical cycle records can support internal compliance reviews, audits, third-party certification processes, training and disease investigations by providing a digital record of downtime and disinfection activity by location.
Supply Entry uses controlled access devices on both sides of the downtime and disinfection room, connected to the room’s door locking system and required power/network infrastructure. Additional connections may be configured for equipment such as a fumigation device. Farm Health Guardian reviews site requirements before installation.
