With a life-long career in the animal health industry, Kent is Farm Health Guardian’s U.S. Swine Specialist. Utilizing his vast experience in his role, Kent is focused on business development across the U.S. swine sector and establishing customer relationships. As the industry continues to evolve, Kent brings his professional experiences to find new ways to innovate, improve and implement biosecurity protocols and systems.

Zach Easterbrook
Senior Software Engineer

Zach is an experienced Devops engineer and has worked on embedded software for leading edge smart technologies. He brings wide-ranging knowledge of coding, infrastructure management and system administration to the team. As Senior Software Engineer, Zach uses his expertise to focus on bringing new biosecurity technologies from proof of concept to completed product. He draws on his background with software and firmware for IoT sensors to improve GPS and other biosecurity technologies for our clients.

As Senior Software Engineer, Jeff supports the Farm Health Guardian team developing software for the smart biosecurity system. He brings extensive experience in software development – front and back-end technologies – and understands what it takes to create user-friendly software as a service platform for our customers. Jeff is a problem solver who is driven to write clear, concise code. His talent and skill will provide Farm Health Guardian users with the smoothest experience as they onboard to the system and adapt to use the digital biosecurity platform to manage the health and protect against the risk of disease in their barns.

As the Farm Health Guardian Customer Success Representative, Adam works on the biosecurity front line, ensuring our software system meets the needs of our clients to keep their livestock and poultry barns healthy. He’s a problem-solver and loves a challenge, especially when it comes to finding solutions to manage animal and employee health and safety. Adam brings first-hand knowledge and experience in animal care, biosecurity, and customer support as it relates to agriculture software.

Customer Support Coordinator

As Customer Support Coordinator, Lainie works with clients to help them streamline and simplify biosecurity using FHG software. Her attention to detail and ability to collaborate combined with her strong livestock background make Lainie adept at helping clients meet their biosecurity goals.

Lainie is passionate about agriculture and has been immersed in it since childhood, growing up on the family farm in northern Missouri. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University, specializing in Animal Science and Ag Management. She brings experience as a vet technician and working at livestock markets to the team.

Alicia brings a more than a decade of first-hand knowledge and experience in animal care, health, research and biosecurity protocols.

Carlos Ovando

Carlos Ovando has extensive experience working with some of the largest pork companies in the U.S. and brings a deep knowledge of pork production. He has partnered with producers across the Midwest to provide training on new technologies and drive adoption, helping customers achieve their production goals.

As FHG’s Technology Support Representative, Carlos coordinates new customer onboarding and provides ongoing troubleshooting support. He builds strong client relationships and ensures customers maximize the value of FHG technology through personalized assistance, weekly insights reports, and quarterly business reviews.

Recognized for his clear communication and problem-solving skills, Carlos is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. He also develops Spanish-language training materials to further support customer success.

Carlos lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Veracruz in Mexico.

Moises Encalada
Customer Success Content Specialist

As Customer Success Content Specialist, Moises Encalada coordinates new customer on-boarding training sessions and set up biosecurity protocols for new customers using the software. Moises has valuable experience as a graphic designer and digital marketer, which he uses for developing customer onboarding training materials and resources. He is also responsible for developing Spanish training materials to support customer success, such as training videos, user documentation, and weekly reports. Moises enjoys working with leading edge hardware and software technology and is fully fluent in Spanish.

Elkin brings over 10 years of expertise designing and building scalable apps. He has led the migration of large, outdated, single unit software apps to distributed solutions, improving flexibility, response times, and user experience.

As Full Stack Developer for Farm Health Guardian, Elkin will develop new features on the front end, while existing functionalities continue to be supported on the backend. Passionate about technology, problem-solving and continuous learning, Elkin is excited to apply his skills to help the agricultural sector manage biosecurity risks.
